Deff will commence sales of glass screen protectors for Sony all new models, Xperia 1 VI
and Xperia 10 VI, starting from late May 2024. The lineup includes "SUPER TOUGH GLASS"
for both models and "ULTRA HARD GLASS" exclusively for Xperia 1 VI.
"Super Tough Glass" is a transparent type of screen protector convenient for everyday
use. It underwent a new hardening process to make it more resistant to breakage, despite
being made of chemically strengthened glass with a thickness of 0.33mm. The treatment
process to remove surface irregularities and machining marks was carried out meticulously.
During subsequent heat treatment, adjustments were made to processing time and temperature
control to ensure uniform heating throughout the glass. Furthermore, the ion exchange
process underwent repeated chemical verification of solvent concentration and temperature
to optimize processing conditions. Through these three stages of hardening, the glass
not only became rigid but also gained a certain degree of flexibility, resulting in a glass
that is more resistant to breakage.
"ULTRA HARD GLASS" employs the first-ever use of AGC's "Dragontrail® Pro" glass by Deff.
It retains the original thickness of the raw plate at 0.4mm, avoiding any thin film treatments
that may contribute to a reduction in glass strength. As a result, users can experience
strength beyond the typical class standards. Compared to Dragontrail® X, its stress layer is
thicker, providing exceptional toughness and resistance to breakage.
Each glass surface is coated with a special anti-fouling coating, making it resistant to dirt
and easy to clean even if dirt adheres.
Furthermore, this product is certified as "Made for Xperia" by Sony, ensuring its compatibility
and reliability for use with Xperia devices.
