Deff plans to release the special resin bumper "CLEAVE G10 Bumper CHRONO for Xperia
1 VI," designed for Sony all new model Xperia 1 VI , in late May.
The popular bumper "CHRONO," known for its simple and slim straight design, is now
compatible with Xperia 1 VI. We have re-evaluated the balance to match the new aspect
ratio. This design incorporates the joint mechanism "QuickLock 2(patented)" that does
not require any mechanical parts, resulting in a smooth and beautiful appearance with
no visible screws or screw holes while maintaining ease of handling. Furthermore, we
have revised the processing method for this model, making any processing marks less
noticeable and smoother than before.
The primary material used is our specialized resin, G10, which has a proven track record
in our 5G smartphone accessories. G10 is a material widely used in military-grade products
where high reliability is required. It possesses excellent characteristics such as heat resistance,
water resistance, chemical resistance, and impact resistance. Additionally, it has no adverse
effects on functions including data communication (4G, 5G), voice calls, wireless charging,
NFC communication, and mobile Suica. The G10 material is machined from a monolithic
block using CNC milling.
The bumper fully guards around the entire perimeter of the Xperia while providing precise
openings for the fingerprint authentication sensor, USB port, and headphone jack, which
also doubles as the power switch. This ensures reliable operability. Silicone sheets are
affixed to the inner corners of the bumper, preventing direct transmission of external impacts
to the smartphone.
A sheet made of aramid fiber (DuPont's Kevlar®) can be attached to the back. This not
only provides robust protection for the easily scratched back but also transforms the appearance
into a solid and hard impression with a weave pattern reminiscent of carbon fiber, which
is not found in the original design. The sheet is guarded by the bumper to prevent easy
peeling.
Furthermore, when used in conjunction with our cover glasses "SUPER TOUGH GLASS
for Xperia 1 VI" and "ULTRA HARD GLASS for Xperia 1 VI," it achieves even stronger protection.
Additionally, with the use of accessories such as the "WIRELESS CHARGING TRAY" and
"AirPut," fast charging without the need for cables is possible.
This product is scheduled to obtain the "Made for Xperia" certification before its release.
