
Lightweight carbon fiber materials widely used in aerospace and racing cars are made by CFRP(※1) pre-preg molding
and then sintered under high temperature and high pressure. The product becomes extremely lightweight while
maintaining strength and has better impact resistance.
Since radio waves cannot easily penetrate carbon fiber and will affect signal reception, it is not suitable for use in
protective cases for smartphones. However, since the AirPods® case doesn't require constant communication,
you can use it with peace of mind. In addition, the thickness is about 0.55mm, so you can safely use the wireless
charging function (※2). We offer a beautiful twill weave carbon fiber process, available in gloss or matte finishes.
In this product, the surface carbon fiber pattern is different from ordinary twill woven fabrics. We have added a
new forging carbon fiber construction method. General carbon fiber puts twill weave cloth on a mold for pre-preg
molding, while forged carbon fiber combines small carbon fiber pieces with polymer epoxy resin and molds it under
high temperature and pressure. Compared with woven carbon fiber, the strength of forged carbon fiber is significantly
improved, and it has higher rigidity against stress in all directions.
Forged carbon fiber is a high-end material with complex manufacturing processes, and is often used in the cases of
supercars and high-end brand watches. We believe that forged carbon fiber will become the mainstream of future
carbon fiber products. Due to processing complexity and defective rate, factories that can stably produce high-quality
forged carbon fiber are still limited. This time we provide wound carbon fiber and forged carbon fiber composite
processes, with two types: glosy and matte.
